The Lucknow University was started by Raja Sir Mohammad Ali Mohammad Khan, Khan Bahadur, K.I.C.E who wrote an article to (The Pioneer), In that article, he urged for the foundation of the University to established in Lucknow. In due time the governor of the United province was appointed to Lieutenant Sir Harcourt Butler, K.C.S.I., K.C.I.E he was well known for his interest in educational matters so he gave the idea of the establishment of the University a new life and accepted the proposal. It offers a wide range of courses at UG (BA, BSC, BBA, LLB), PG (MSC, MA, M.COM,MBA, MCA) PHD, and Mphl. Admission to all the courses offered by Lucknow University is done on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance test and merit in the qualifying examination.

Lucknow University Under Graduate Program ELIGIBILITY

BA (Hons): Students should have qualified on the 12th standard examination from a recognized institution.

B.Sc Mathematics Group – Should have passed Intermediate Science (with Mathematics group) or equivalent examination with a minimum 40% marks for General and OBC candidates (in case of SC/ST the qualifying marks shall be 33%).

BSc (Biology): Students should pass intermediate exams with the Biology group. He/she must obtain 40% marks.

B.Com: The applicant must pass the Intermedidiate standard with 60% marks from any recognized board.

LLB: Students must have passed intermediate class with 45% marks at least.

BCA: Should have passed Intermediate or equivalent examination with Mathematics Mathematics/Computer Science/Computer Application as a subject with at least 50% of marks (45% in case of SC/ST).

MA: The applicant will eligible for admission in M.A if he/she completed B.A or B.Sc. from any University or board.

M.Sc: The applicant will eligible for admission in M.Sc. if he/she completed B.A or B.Sc from any University or board.

LLM: The applicant must complete the LLB degree. The minimum mark for qualification be 50% in LLB.
