UPSC IFS 2024… UPSC IFS exam notification .Applicants need to appear for the Civil Service preliminary exam and then for Indian Forest Service (Main) examination (written and interview). UPSC IFS 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Nationality:

  • Citizen of India, Subject of Bhutan or Subject of Nepal
  • Tibetan refugee, who came to India to become a permanent resident
  • Person of Indian Origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries with the intention of settling permanently

Qualification required:

Bachelor’s degree with at least one of the subjects from a recognized University

Age limit:

Minimum and maximum age limit must be 21 years and 32 years respectively.

Number of attempts:

Eligible applicants will be given 6 attempts to clear this exam.

Complete Process to fill UPSC IFS Application Form 2024

  • Union Public Service Commission application form will be released in online mode on the official website of UPSC.
  • No other mode to fill and submit the form will be provided.
  • Applicants need to provide their personal and educational details as asked in the application form.
  • Scanned copies of photo and sign will also be uploaded in the form.
  • Enter correct details into the form as any mistake in the form might lead to its termination.
  • After providing all the required information into the form, applicants need to make the final form submission along with the prescribed application fee.

Application fee:

  • Applicants need to deposit an application fee of Rs. 100/-
  • SC/ST/PH and women need not to payment of fee
  • Fee payment can be done either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, by using SBI net banking or by using credit card/ debit card.

UPSC IFS 2024 Exam Pattern

 UPSC IFS exam pattern 2024 for both preliminary and main exam is tailored below:

For preliminary exam

  • Number of papers: 2 (for each paper)
  • Duration of exam: 2 hours
  • Mode of exam: Offline
  • Type of questions: Objective type
  • Negative marking: One-third of the marks will be deducted for each incorrect response
  • Question paper language: Both English & Hindi
  • Total marks: 400

For main exam:

  • Number of papers: 4
  • Duration of exam: 3 hours (for each paper)
  • Mode of exam: Offline
  • Type of questions: Essay type
  • Question paper language: English

UPSC IFS Admit Card 2024

Union Public Service Commission Admit card will be made available in the online mode around 3 weeks before the beginning of the exam. Applicants will be able to download their e-admit card from the UPSC official website. In case any difficulty occurs in downloading hall ticket, it must be communicated to the commission’s office right away. Applicants should take a printout of call letter and carry it to the exam center on the exam date.

How to download UPSC IFS Main Exam Admit Card?

  • Go to the official UPSC website: www.upsc.gov.in
  • Click on the admit card link in the What’s new section of the website.
  • In the new window, you will have to click on the admit card link again.
  • You will first be taken to the instruction page. Read the instructions issued for candidates carefully and if need be take a printout too.
  • Click on ‘yes’ to indicate that you have read the instructions.
  • Select one of the two options given – by Registration number or by Roll number.
  • Enter your roll number/registration number, date of birth and random image given.
  • Submit the information and your admit card will be displayed. Take printout.

UPSC IFS Result 2024

Final result of the UPSC IFS 2024 will be proclaimed on the official website expectedly in the month of July 2024. Applicants who will clear the preliminary exam need to appear for the main exam and those who clear mains also; they will be invited for the interview round. Final result will be declared who clear all the 3 rounds of the exam. Only such applicants will be considered for recruitment into the forest service’s depending on the fulfillment of eligibility and other criteria.
