• The candidate must be a citizen of India.
• He must have completed the graduation.

Tamilnadu Civil Services Exam Pattern

• Pre exam will be of MCQ type with total 300 Marks.
• The selected candidates will be eligible for the Main examination after qualifying the Preliminary examination.
• For the Group – A Service Examination, the question papers will be of General Studies and Aptitude and Mental Ability which candidates have to pass to be eligible for the main examination.
• The question paper of General Studies 15O marks.
• The total number of questions in the pre exam will be 15O.
• There will be 50 questions from the Aptitude & Mental Ability with 50 marks.

TNPSC Civil Service Main Exam will be of descriptive (conventional) nature.
