NIT Patna 2024 Admission Process:

• The candidate has to appear for the admission test and interview separately for each of the disciplines that she/he has applied for.
• The total number of questions in the written test will be 100, for each correct answer 6 marks will be awarded and 2 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
• Candidates will be considered for the screening process even if the result of their qualifying exam hasn’t been released yet. These candidates can join the program provisionally.
• In the interview round, the candidate’s knowledge in domain/research subjects and aptitude for research will be checked.
• After that a merit list will be prepared by the authority on the basis of Interview Marks and the availability of seats.
• The Cut off marks for admission will not be less than 50%
• The candidates are required to bring an original Photo I-Card ( Aadhaar Card, PAN Card) with a photocopy at the time of the Screening Test, where they have to pay INR. 42,950/- as admission fees.

B.tech Eligibility Criteria:

• Candidate must have scored 75% in 10+2 class examination (or remaining in top 20 percentile in the exam conducted by recognized boards) or equivalent marks in respective subjects (physics, chemistry & mathematics as core subjects)
• The SC/ST Students are supposed to score 65% in 10+2 in respective subjects (5% relaxation)

B.tech Selection Criteria:

• Students are selected on the basis of scores secured by them in JEE Main 2021
• The seats are allotted on the basis of students’ overall presentation in the JoSAA counseling process with preceding academic excellence records.

B.arch Eligibility Criteria: 

• Candidates seeking admission to NIT’s B.Arch program must have a 10+2 diploma with physics, chemistry, maths, and English as essential courses.
• Candidates must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 60% or 6.5.

B.arch Selection Process:

• Candidates are chosen based on their performance in JEE Main.
• Seats are assigned based on the candidate’s success in the JoSAA counseling procedure, past academic records, and other criteria

M.tech Eligibility Criteria:

• Students wanting to seek admission in the MTech degree program are supposed to have a bachelor’s degree in B.E. or B.Tech in the relevant program.
• Students must have secured a minimum of 60% or 6.5 CGPA during graduation.

M.tech Selection Criteria:

• Students are selected on the basis of the rank secured by them in the GATE Exam.

NIT Patna 2024 Result

NIT (National Institute of Technology) Patna is offering a B.Tech/M.Tech/MSc (five years integrated programs) under its ten departments. Students are required to show in the common entrance test performed to get admission into the institute. The application form is being provided online on the institute’s website. The Institute is followed by the semester-based academic curriculum and its academic year was divided into two semesters i.e. Odd & Even semester. The duration of the Odd semester (July-December) and that of the even semester are the (January-June).

NIT Patna Scholarships
