 Eligibility Criteria for GATE 2024

Age Limit:

There is no age limit for GATE applicants.

Nationality:

• Students should be of Indian nationality.
• Those who belonging to Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Ethiopia and United Arab Emirates will also be eligible for GATE 2024.

 Educational Requirement

Pass Percentage

There is no minimum pass percentage in the qualifying degree at the same time as applying for GATE 2024

 Exam Pattern for GATE 2024

• GATE 2024 Exam : Twenty Four papers (subjects)
• Students can appear for only one of the twenty four GATE papers.
• Exam for all the papers will be conducted in an ONLINE mode where students will be shown the questions on a computer screen

Exam Duration

• AGATE 2024 Test  will be for 180 Minutes duration
• Exam consists of sixty Five questions for a total of 100 marks.
• Test is an Computer Based Test,
• Students can login and start reading the commands twenty minutes before the start of exam.
• Applicants will NOT be allowed to enter the exam hall after 09:30 hours in the forenoon session and after 14:30 hours in the afternoon session
• Aspirants will NOT be permitted to leave the exam hall before the end of the exam

Pattern of Questions

• GATE 2024 would contain questions of two diverse types in all the papers:
• MCQ carrying one or two marks each in all the papers and sections..
• Negative Marking for Wrong Answers.
• Numerical-Answer-Type Questions carrying one or two marks each in all the papers and sections.
• There is NO negative marking for a incorrect answer in NAT questions.
